8-DAY INTENSIVE PARTICIPANT

Trish was recommended to me by my spouse’s CSAT, who felt I would benefit from her Intensive Program/Sister Cocoon Intensive. It took me some time to decide whether I was ready, but attending the program turned out to be the best decision I’ve made for myself as a betrayed partner in deep emotional pain, grief, and despair.

D-Day was 12/23/24, and the rollercoaster of staggered and trickle truths about my spouse’s infidelity left my mind spinning. When I learned early this summer that my spouse still hadn’t fully disclosed, it sent me into rage, confusion, and profound hurt. I realized I needed a program that could help me understand the trauma I was experiencing—years of emotional damage from his secret life—and guide me toward healing.

I have spent 49 years of my life being betrayed and deceived, and now struggle with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Although my spouse and I were in marriage therapy and both had individual therapists, none of our therapy addressed betrayal trauma, recovery, or the grief I was living through. The focus was primarily on his sex addiction and communication issues, while my individual therapist, though supportive, was not trained in betrayal trauma.

Trish’s intensive program finally provided what I desperately needed. It allowed me to do the deep work required to process trauma and gave me the education, structure, and support to understand the phases betrayed partners go through. Most importantly, it showed me a path forward—how to begin healing after everything I’ve endured.

From the moment I met Trish on the first day of the Intensive, I felt an immediate and powerful sense of connection. We embraced, and her hugs are truly the best—warm, grounding, and safe. The way she welcomed me and my Cocoon Sisters was incredibly special, and I felt at ease right away. I knew I was ready for the deep work ahead during the 7-day in-person intensive and the 1-day virtual session. Trish created a safe, nurturing space that allowed me to open up and share my emotional pain without fear or hesitation.

Trish took careful notes of each of our stories, honoring our experiences with such attentiveness. We began each day with morning check-ins, and she guided us through special projects designed to help us express and understand our journeys. We created artwork, wrote about our feelings after completing portions of the workbook, and used the materials in the beautifully organized binders she provided—every detail thoughtfully prepared.

Trish supplied everything we needed throughout the live intensive sessions. Her expertise in betrayal trauma was exceptional; she was professional, deeply knowledgeable, and confident in the material she presented. But what touched me most was her empathy and compassion for how broken each of us felt. She encouraged us to comfort and support one another, helping us form a bond of sisterhood during those seven in-person days that was truly beautiful and profound.

Through her guidance, Trish helped us reclaim our power and begin overcoming the immense pain we carried because of betrayal. She taught us how to pause, breathe, reflect, and reclaim our power. Trish shared so many meaningful tools to help us regulate our nervous systems during moments of emotional overwhelm and pain.

Trish provided special activities like drumming and sound baths, and those experiences were truly life-changing for me. Through them, I was able to release so much of the pain I had been carrying. I still cherish those moments of pure delight—feeling happy, free, and connected in a way I hadn’t felt in a very long time.

The beautiful spread of food and drinks that Trish prepared each day was so thoughtful, ensuring we stayed nourished and hydrated throughout the in-person sessions. Her home offered a peaceful, tranquil environment that felt safe and supportive for all of us.

I will be forever grateful to Trish for the experience she created and for the role she played in my healing. I highly recommend Trish and her Intensive Program to any woman navigating the painful and overwhelming journey of betrayal trauma.

Stepping into Trish’s 8-day Here I Am Becoming felt like entering a tenderness I didn’t know my body had been starving for. I was held—not just in spirit, but in truth. Seen, heard, reflected and honored back into the woman I’d left behind and betrayal had splintered. Would she ever re-emerge? I often wondered. My husband’s choices had torn a violent seam in my reality, and had become a steady hum, I barely heard in its new normalcy.

Yet, in Trish’s container—in her Sacred Sister Cocoon—along with the other beautiful women who attended, and under her intuitive arms, her steady heart—I sank inward like a soul-diver, retrieving pieces of myself I had abandoned just to keep breathing. I emerged raw but rooted, open but anchored, and carrying tools that let my life move forward with intention instead of survival.

I am the main event now pulses in me like a sacred drum.

I wish every woman cracked open by sexual betrayal or buried in the shadows of secret basements could find Trish, and be met with the truth, safety, and restoration her work so generously offers.

8-DAY INTENSIVE PARTICIPANT

When I found Trish’s Sister Cocoon Intensive, I was seven months past discovery and still drowning. Since February 26th, I had been living in the grip of severe PTSD symptoms—raging, breaking things, wavering between wanting to fight and wanting to disappear entirely. I was tender and raw, taking one step forward and two steps back. The enormity of this betrayal trauma had altered me so completely that I barely recognized myself.

I had been working with therapists and enrolled in other programs, but they weren’t a fit. They didn’t understand this specific type of trauma. I could feel the tornado inside, the overwhelming grief that brought me to my knees, the way trauma had shattered my inner knowing, my world, and left me grasping for solid ground. I needed specialists. I needed immersive care. I needed to be deeply held.

I feel so fortunate to have found Trish and to have engaged in this deep work with her.

Over eight profound days, she created a container of deep emotional safety where I could finally exhale. Her presence and attunement were extraordinary. She tracked every wave of anger and grief with such care, honoring my process and my path through this vortex with thoughtful presence. From the beautiful breakfast and lunch spreads to the smallest details, you could feel the love and intentionality she brings to this sacred work. She and the other women in that room held me exactly as I was—all the million pieces I was in—free of judgment, full of deep validation and respect for my healing journey.

The transformation was cellular. Something ancient and wise within me—something I thought I’d lost—reawakened. I reclaimed my intuitive power, my inner knowing, in a way I had not been able to access before. I learned to breathe through difficult triggers and activations. I discovered I could call out integrity abuse with fierce precision, strength, and groundedness instead of becoming a whirlwind, instead of losing myself in the chaos of lies and trauma. I can disengage before my “altered self” consumes me. I can tend to myself. I can come up for air.

Where I once raged and raged, I now stand in my own knowing. Where I once broke and lost my voice screaming, I now cry and hold myself in my pain. I know I will survive the burning.

I metabolized a great deal at this intensive and made soul sisters along the way. This is deep, profound work that Trish holds with art and profoundly healing care. The healing journey continues, certainly—but because of this intensive, I am much, much stronger for it. It was a phenomenal, deeply transformative experience. Trish was willing to name the uncomfortable truths that lingered in my relationship that other well-intentioned/well-educated therapists seemed to avoid, but which kept me in confusion. Those truths were hard to hold in my awareness at all, let alone to try to process through them in a way that wasn’t incapacitating. However, Trish’s approach gave me a way to both access and start moving through the trauma.

I have finally been able to get back to a sense of peace within my body. It is also so much easier to set boundaries that help me preserve this peace as I continue to heal. My partner, friends, and family have commented on noticing these shifts as well.

Before going to this program I felt like I had been emotionally ripped apart and trampled on for years, and I left with the ability to feel whole again. I am now able to connect with parts of myself that had been slowly worn away long before discovery.

This program goes beyond coping skills and helps you tap back into yourself in a way that feels like coming back alive. It’s like some sort of psychological CPR!

Finally, there is something so healing about spending 8 days immersed in this type of treatment with other women who have been through something similar. If the Minwalla Model resonates with you, then this program can help you feel healthier, no matter what is happening with your partner.

Do this program. It is worth it. We have easily spent over 150K over the past 3.5 years on therapy and various intensive programs for couples and for my husband. You need and deserve the clarity that this program can bring. I know it can be hard to justify the expense, but getting healthy for yourself is the best thing that can happen for your family. I only wish I would have done it sooner because it would have ended up saving me a lot of money on less effective treatment! My mom is now always telling me how thankful she is that I did this program because she can tell I am getting back to myself, and that I’m much more present for my kids.

When I signed up for this experience, I had no idea of what to expect. I have been married for 37 years and was still trying to work on fixing “our” relationship. Discovery was 5 years ago. I am always working on my “Plan B” – how will I “B OK either way” – whatever my husband decides or doesn’t decide about recovery? How can I grow and not stagnate? How can I love myself and become who I want to be while I wait to see if his openness and efforts toward recovery prove to be genuine?

Each time I’ve had a “time stands still”, life-changing and gut-wrenching discovery, I’ve doubled down on researching better programs for him. This past discovery it was clear to me, “I’m done trying to do something I have no control over”. I looked for a trauma intensive for me and found Trish’s “Here I Am Becoming” trauma retreat. I am also worth my time and worth my money – and I made the healing time work for me and will never regret it. Managing life while loving an addict makes me feel like I must be super-human while giving him grace to be uber-human. I found a space with Trish and the women where I could be human; free from educating others about my experience and free to let my body release the pain of carrying too much that is too big for me to carry alone.

The pristine and relaxing environment, the small group of lovely women, the curriculum plus the right-brained art and writing exercises were all so helpful in processing deeper pain and letting it out of my body, in a safe space. The sound bath, drumming, dancing and being with others who understand my brand of pain produced a joy and lightness that surprisingly blooms in the dark in the right circumstances – Trish creates the right circumstances, and I will draw from what I learned and experienced there for my lifetime. It was an added extra to be in a sunny place and to have alone time in the evenings to rest and do whatever I needed for myself. I will end by saying: you are worth your time. I have tried many forums to address the hurt caused by my partner’s sexual deception. There was always something missing; a feeling not quite addressed, a wound not recognized, a painful assumption made, or any other forms of invalidation. With Trish, I felt a thorough illumination and washing out of all the painful areas -even ones I hadn’t yet come to recognize. Although it might sound unpleasant to highlight all of the areas of pain we’ve experienced, it was handled so gently by Trish while she simultaneously breathed strength and resilience back into our beings. I feel more whole. I have been seen, I have been encouraged, and this deep dive into what I experienced has begun to set me free. I am so thankful I did this early on in my journey rather than letting these wounds take hold of me. It’s by far the best investment I’ve ever made for myself.

I am so glad that I experienced this course. It was hard to go through, but in a good way. Emotions and feelings that I held deep down for years were able to come up and be processed. Not only is her content accurate and essential to better understand the impacts of Deceptive Sexuality, Infidelity and Betrayal Trauma, it provides greater access to blocked parts of ourselves and allows us to begin a deeper healing process. I wish I had never been in a position to know Trish or need this intensive, but with that said, I can’t imagine anyone better suited to guide betrayed partners on this healing journey. I sought out Trish a little over a year after discovery, feeling stuck and hopeless. I knew I didn’t want to remain buried in this trauma forever, but I lacked the tools and knowledge to move through it and toward healing.

From our very first conversation, Trish was overwhelmingly understanding and kind, instantly putting me at ease. Her deep knowledge of trauma, combined with her extraordinary empathy, created a safe environment that allowed for gentle navigation through these painful experiences.

Over the course of seven days, Trish created a true sanctuary that allowed for processing and healing. I didn’t have to think about or plan anything—she provided every material needed and ensured a comfortable, relaxing, and organized environment. Thoughtful music filled the air, we had opportunities to gather and time to be alone if needed, and a calming salt pool with fountains added to the tranquility of the space. The opportunity for expression and repair through drumming, art, writing, poetry, and other right-brain activities (even a sound bath!) was profoundly healing. Trish nourished not only my soul but also my body, providing delicious meals and having yummy snacks available at all times.

I left the intensive with new tools and resources for my healing journey, a renewed sense of hope for the future, and a clear plan of action to continue processing and moving through my trauma. I also left with a lifelong and heartfelt appreciation for Trish and the work she does; I already know she has been instrumental in my life and essential to my healing.

IN-PERSON INTENSIVE PARTICIPANT

I attended the intensive with Trish during a time of great despair. I was feeling extremely invalidated in my process of betrayal trauma, and was met with provider after provider who did not truly and fully understand the experience and the needs of someone going through it.

Trish felt like an absolute miracle and she provided the hope and expertise I desperately needed in an incredibly difficult time. Trish and the women in the group gave me the space, understanding, and validation that is so important when going through this.

We all joked that we were calling the intensive a “retreat” but it certainly was not! As Trish will explain to anyone considering this, this is a very intense process, and you will be fully immersed in it for the week. I am out of state so I stayed in a hotel, and I think this was vital for my experience as going back to my home/child/partner would’ve been very difficult with the feelings I was processing each night after the day with Trish.

Trish is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and extremely talented at what she does. She fully opens herself to the women during the experience. I felt so safe and cared for throughout the experience and beyond. So grateful I was able to find and attend this intensive! At the end of the week, the intensive had given me a true retreat.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY CLIENT

I was truly fortunate to have found Trish at what was an all-time low in my life. I was trapped in a toxic marriage to man who physically and emotionally abused me, and verbally abused my children. I was lost and afraid, unable to see the path forward. Taking Trish’s intensive was a magical and healing experience, to say the least. There were so many synchronicities – some as simple as butterflies outside the window and butterfly cards gifted to us by a fellow student. Others were more profound such as three nieces (one from each of us) born within 3 days of each other, with 3 candles set out and lit for each one. The material itself is the most comprehensive material I’ve ever come across in regards to physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and societal impacts of Sexual Addiction, and in particular on partners and families. As we moved through the material, Trish paid careful attention to how each member of our group responded. This woman has mastered the craft of attunement. She noticed the subtle nuances such as a change in breath or eyes glazing over from disassociation, to more obvious trauma responses like involuntary muscle spasms in the face or head. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be seen and held as I confronted this life-altering wound in the safety of this container (the course). Thank you, Trish, for this innovative work that paves the way for restorative, informational, and relational justice for so many women going through and struggling to thrive beyond this trauma.

I knew I needed help to dive deeper into my body and healing. Although I had done so much work, I felt in my gut there was more – my heart was open to it. This 4 day intensive gave me the opportunity to go deep to release trauma that I had stored in my body and soul and work with it in a caring and open way. With the help of Trish, and the wonderful women in our intensive, I felt whatever arose, held it and came out the other side. Again and again. Yes, I got a lot of information that was helpful, but for me, the true value of the workshop was to feel held, and to hold other women just like me in a loving circle. Sometimes we feel so alone. I feel truly filled by the past 6 days. Trish held us with so much love as she worked with us.
